As we enter into 2012 many employers are beginning to notice the clearing haze caused by the economic meltdown of recent years.  Based on many local and national resources for statistical data we are seeing an undeniable improvement in hiring and a significant decrease in unemployment.  As a matter of fact, the nation has now recovered nearly 60% of the jobs lost since the recession hit rock-bottom in late 2009.  Popular topics of conversation revolve around growth, expansion, investment, and innovation.  While these are all great, and dare we say encouraging, topics of discussion, a less common yet doubly important topic that we should be discussing is workforce retention.

This session will address the importance of workforce retention as it relates to today's economy but also what its role has played in past economic rebounds bearing similar characteristics.  We all agree that retaining your valuable workforce provides a valuable benefit but how do you approach it?  Where and when do you begin?  What are the short and long term effects of workforce retention in a rebounding economy?  What are the legal risks of which you should be aware?
