Jr. Systems/Applications Administrator

JOB SUMMARY
The Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Systems and Applications Administrator for our client located in Amherst, MA. This is a full-time hybrid position (2 days onsite in Amherst, 3 days remote). The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of IT experience, strong end-user support skills, and a solid background in Microsoft technologies and basic networking. You’ll be joining a small IT team and reporting directly to the COO/CIO. This is a permanent hire opportunity offering $65K–$75K base salary, discretionary bonus, and excellent benefits.

Required skills include:
3–5 years of IT support/systems administration experience
Strong experience with ticketing systems and end-user support
Proficiency in Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint
Basic networking knowledge – routers, switches, firewalls
Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting
Experience managing or assisting with business-critical systems
Strong communication and documentation skills
Must be able to work independently and be proactive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.)
Prior experience working in a small or high-visibility team environment
Exposure to system monitoring and documentation best practices

Additional info:
Salary target: $65,000 – $75,000 base + bonus
